  • Today's survey draw question:

    What powers your main car?

Diesel; Petrol; Diesel/petrol & Electric (hybrid); Electricity; Don't know; I don't have a car; Prefer not to say

I mean, for the main part, fair enough. But.... "Don't Know?"

So the pixies keep it moving do they?

See that socket in the side? Don't pour petrol in it. See that hole that smells of petrol? Don't plug it into the mains.

    Seriously worrying.

    • Interesting fact: Electric cars and bikes have been commercially available since the 1890's. Amazing to think how different things could have been.

    • Well I highly doubt any PMP members drive the Batmobile as their main car, since the question was "What powers your main car?" I know there are companies that let you rent a Batmobile for the day (not from personal experience, I saw it on The Big Bang Theory) but I am sure that the rental Batmobiles are not atomically powered and do not have turbines.

And thanks for the video, I have not seen the more modern Batmans let alone an older one, so yes I had no idea what you were referring to.

    • ALL possibilities Em?

What if I were to say "Atomic batteries to power! Turbines to speed!"?

      (You're probably too young.)

    • All the above mentioned additives would probably save you on fuel costs as your vehicle will stop working. Definitely save you fuel cost but you will get hefty repair bills to fix it.

The simplest way to save on fuel costs is to sell your vehicle.

    • Pedal Cars! Yabba dabba doooo! (give us a bump start, there's a pebble under my square wheel)

    • @steffanbo The way fuel prices are going Flinstones cars could be the way to go. 🤔

    • For those don't you just flap your arms to make it go?

    • What about a Flintstones car?

    • 🥺I wonder if anyone has actually done any of these stupid things to their cars🥺

    • But by all means pour WD40 or Red Bull, squeeze toothpaste or ketchup, or drop washing machine capsules or dishwasher tablets into the hole that smells of petrol... it must be okay - I saw it on the interwebs...

    • We have to allow for all possibilities. You would hope that a car owner would know but you can't assume anything. : )

  • I'm having a good day today, five screenout bonuses but no issues. Now I'm going into the garden to put up the bean sticks. Got some runner and french beans in trays which have just sprouted. No sign of any carrots yet. Three melon plants indoors on the dining room windowsill.

    • These stories are great 😄 (and sad @Enver 😥)

I once had a big veil-tail betta that was a nutter and used to try to bite my hand through the glass. And a tiny frog that got out somehow and I found three days later stuck to the carpet. And I once bought a pair of juvenile female bristlenose pleccos but turned out one of them was hiding a secret and one day I woke up to the tank filled with hundreds of tiny little baby pleccos (and quite a few that had wandered a little too close to the water pump and were sucked into oblivion). Rehoming was a nightmare but luckily I found a few aquarium shops that took them. I gave up keeping fish after that 😅

    • Ladyfriend got an wee tank & some fish cos she liked the massive 500Ltr aquarium I had in London (with 2 Golden Orf, 2 silver ghost Koi & 2 longtail goldfish). She tipped the whole bottle of Fresh Start (live bacteria) in it thinking it was Methyl blue (oxygenator), instead of a drip or two. They didn't survive despite throwing them in fresh tap water, then changing the water in the tank & washing the gravel quickly. It ate their fins away in a few hours.

Grr! ... ALWAYS READ THE LABEL!

    • I’ve got a goldfish that is always head down in the pond. When you go anywhere near him with a net he swims off normally. When net danger is gone he’s back with his head down in the water…..weirdo! 🤨

    • I resuscitated my goldfish once, he lived on for a while after that.😀

    • Oh no my fishies must be sick 😿 Have you ever had to give CPR to a fish? I have. It's not a place I'd rather go back to.

    • Same here, not even a tiddler since December.

    • I'm not getting pollfish. 😢

    • Did over 20 Pollfish on each of 2 recent occasions, after the same 10 demographic Q's before each, I passed only one small one, & the rest it said "Guess they were looking for ...." or "What happened?" with no payout.

    • I'm not getting the 5p for screen-outs on Pollfish anymore. Is that a new thing or a glitch?

    • Our runner beans are showing well & the onions are now visible.

The bean sticks have been up for a couple of weeks now & the tomato plants are coming on well, all of the cucumbers appear to have germinated this year & we've only got room for two or three at a push..

    • Long time ago I used to grow vegetables. One of my friends said why because when your vegetables are ready to pick there is a glut of them in the shops at cheap prices. He wouldn't believe me when I told him they tasted better. When it was time to harvest I gave him some. He never spoke of it again.

    • Ooh, Fresh veg is always in demand, always something to do in the garden, will be fabulous in autumn!

  • Now this is weird.

The MP who was caught looking at a mucky website on his phone in the House of Commons claims it came up (oo-er) because he accidentally clicked on a link on a website about tractors.

This doesn't make sense because I've never seen an advert for tractors while looking at a mucky website.

    • After being castigated he probably isn't so interested now. 😉

    • Two female mps admit to watching porn in the chamber, looking at a guys phone over his shoulder, ( how rude is that?), guy gets castigated, no one mentions the womens equally bad ( or worse?) behavior.

    • @tetleyt - One's got hydraulics, the others ....

    • @Lol63 - we are to polite to ask why you were on a mucky website. Are you into Mud Wrestling?

    • You've all lost me now!

    • @Nick you missed the opportunity to say "alles klar ja?" from the League of Gentleman sketch 😊

    • @Barrie. Makes sense as Claas is a German company and Klaas is a well known German name. If I hadn't known better I'd have been inclined to spell it with a K.

    • Sorry Lol 63 I thought you were complaining.

    • 😭 I hate it when everyone misses the joke!

    • Apparently he had marital problems, and to “reconnect” with his wife he was advised to “do something sexy to attract her…”, but I think he misheard…🤔!

      LLAP 🖖!

    • As a youngster I always thought it was spelt Klaas but I've no idea why.

    • Spellchecker incorrectly corrected it but I hadn't noticed. Just tried again & as soon as you hit 'space' after Claas it changes to Class. Thanks, I do like to spell things correctly so I'll watch out for that in the future.

    • @A Nick Name - If he looked for a Class Dominator he was definitely into kinky unless he can't spell Claas Dominator.

    • I suppose you could say a tractor was a means of 'digging up the dirt'........

    • Wrong wording in the search bar…..🤔

    • He was supposedly looking for a Class Dominator. I had a similar problem whilst working in the Commons. I searched kinky girls and it took me to the wrong website as I was trying to find a birthday present for the wife to sort out her frizzy hair.

    • I give in Enver, what is the difference between a tractor and a bridegroom?

    • 😆😆 you lot.

Maybe “big tyres” is a euphemism for something else? 🤔

    • Why was he looking at his phone when he was supposed to be working, paying attention to the debates. Phones will need to be taken off MPs like they are from children at secondary school so that they can concentrate. 🤔😂🐷

    • Is he related to Ford or Massey Ferguson?

Why have such a big lawn he needs a ride-on mower, or is he making crop circles?

What's the he difference between a tractor and a bridegroom?

    • Why was he buying a tractor when supposed to be working?

  • Just done a 25 mins survey and when looked got 84 pence wish I had been time out would have got 5pence for couple of mins

    • The surveys usually give an estimated completion time and an amount of reward so you can choose whether to start or not. If you began, and didn’t get screened out quickly, you could stop at that point. 🙃

    • Not sure why you're complaining - you got 3.36p per minute by completing the survey, as opposed to 2.5 p for your 'couple of minutes' getting timed out...

  • Just tried the 'Take a 5min survey' for £1 bonus and guess what? Yes, it takes 15 mins, so I didn't bother and I won't respond to clickbait like that again.

"The survey takes around 15 minutes to complete...."

    • You were possibly pre-screened out of the first survey so it punted you to a different one it thought you might be eligible for. Some companies do that (looking at you Your Surveys) but it's often not very obvious that it's happening. Also the length of time surveys take can vary wildly depending on what answers you give, the stated time is just the minimum. And some don't count screening time. Every survey company will no doubt calculate it differently. And some are just bad. But I've had a £6 survey that stated 15 minutes and took only 8 minutes.
