Last weekend the prize pot reached its highest ever at £400. The winner was on holiday and would have missed it.. If it wasn’t for his friend recognising his postcode & picking up the phone.
Alan, the lucky winner, was so chuffed that his friend had remembered his postcode and bothered to get in touch that he shared half the winnings with him. He put the remaining £200 towards a well-needed new laptop.
“As for spending the money, I have been meaning to get a new laptop for a while, so half will be put towards that. The other half I will give to my friend who called me yesterday to tell me he thought my postcode was on your site. I was away on a weekend break and never check my emails on holiday so had he not called me I would not have won. I was pretty amazed he even knew my postcode. I work with numbers every day and have a pretty good memory for numbers but I only remember my parents postcode and no one else’s.” – Alan
