Massive thanks to everyone who sponsored our 10k Sleep Walk for Shelter. We managed it in just under 3 hours with only 2 pub stops, and raised over £3,000. Didn’t get a chance to donate? It’s not too late!
I love walking around London, but this was actually more fun than I had imagined. There were so many people and the atmosphere was electric. I just feel sorry for the pinstripes who were held up by our mobbing of the City (I don’t really).
Mel C was allegedly there. We tried to get in touch with her via her management but we had no response. We even offered for her to appear on the Video Draw to breathe some life into her fundraising effort. If anyone knows Mel C, please tell her that we were sad to miss her and the offer is still open.
Favourite moment? Being shouted at by two homeless gentlemen because the crowd of walkers were obstructing their route.
It was great fun and I encourage others to get involved next time, and to devise and attend similar fundraising events.
